This was a very unusual sighting. We came across a huge group of Hyenas - there were 16 in total. We've never seen this many in one group. Hyena are highly sociable, intelligent animals. While they do scavenge, they are skilled predators. They also are known to steal kills from Leopards, Cheetahs and Lions.
