ED & LINDY'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES....... In 2000, we began a website

chronicling our travels.  After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated.  Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present.  Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!

This bird is a Hadada Ibis.  It is the most common Ibis in Africa and the least aquatic.  It is found in a wide-range of environments - like seeing this one in a grassy field.  They are carnivores and eat insects, frogs, snails and worms.  They are commonly seen in cultivated fields where they are believed to be beneficial to the crops since they don't eat seeds or fruits.
