ED & LINDY'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES....... In 2000, we began a website

chronicling our travels.  After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated.  Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present.  Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!

This colorful bird is a male Village Weaver.  These birds are known for their skills as nest builders.  The male builds a nest that looks like an upside-down flask with an entrance from the bottom.  These birds breed colonially meaning that you see numerous nests in one tree all hanging down together.  It's amazing to us that each bird can recognize its own nest but it must be easily identifiable to the birds; that is, each nest is unique to them as is each of our homes to us.
