ED & LINDY'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES....... In 2000, we began a website

chronicling our travels.  After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated.  Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present.  Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!

This is an actual sign in Addo.  It advises drivers to be careful to avoid hitting Dung Beetles.  Dung Beetles here in Addo use Elephant poop or "dung" for several reasons.  When the Beetle finds the dung, it will roll it into a ball using its hind legs.  The bung ball is typically offered to a female who will use the dung ball to lay her eggs.  If the dung ball isn't used for noursing offspring, it will be eaten by adults.  Nothing goes to waste in the bush!
