ED & LINDY'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES....... In 2000, we began a website

chronicling our travels.  After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated.  Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present.  Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!

The Battle of Clontarf on Good Friday on 23 April 1014 is believed to be the decisive battle when the Irish beat the Vikings and the Vikings left Ireland.  The date of the battle is definitely known.  However, the reports of 6,000 enemy troups being killed is unsubstantiated.  The key is that the Vikings were driven out of Ireland.  The boat shown is a typical boat of Viking design.
