ED & LINDY'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES....... In 2000, we began a website

chronicling our travels.  After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated.  Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present.  Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!

This building is known as the House of Wonders.  It was built in 1883 as a ceremonial palace for Sultan Barghash.  It was the first building in Zanzibar to have electric lights and an electric lift. That's why the locals called it "Beit el Ajaib" which translates to House of Wonders.
