Suan Pakkad means "cabbage patch" which is what this area was before it was transformed into Suan Pakkad Palace.  It was opened as a museum in 1952.  All contents were owned by Prince and Princess Chumbhot. The Palace has eight buildings in total.  Four of the buildings including this one - house four - were transported from Chiang Mai and reassembled here.
